NIS 2

The directive classes managed service providers and managed security service providers among the sectors of high criticality (Annex I), and requires the entities concerned to address the security of their supply chain, including direct service providers, and to assess the effectiveness of their measures (Art. 21). A measured state of the estate and a dated history of fixes meet both expectations in practice.
